Privacy Policy for Sticky Notes

Last Updated: January 18, 2026

The "No Strings Attached" Promise We built Sticky Notes to be a simple, useful tool for your desktop. We believe that a productivity app shouldn't spy on you. Therefore, this application is completely offline, free, and contains no tracking code whatsoever.

1. Data Collection We adhere to a strict Zero-Data policy.

  • No Internet Connection: The application does not have the capability to connect to the internet. It cannot send data out.

  • No Telemetry: We do not track how you use the app, which buttons you click, or how long you keep the app open.

  • No Accounts: You do not need to create an account or provide an email address to use the app.

2. Your Data and Local Storage All data created within the app belongs solely to you and stays on your machine.

  • Where it lives: Your notes (titles, text, colors, and alarm settings) are saved to a single file named "sticky_notes_data.json".

  • Location: This file is located in the same folder where you installed or placed the application.

  • Control: You can view, edit, backup, or delete this file at any time. If you delete the file or the application, the data is removed permanently because we never had a copy of it.

3. Third-Party Sharing Since we do not collect any data, we have nothing to share, sell, or trade with advertisers or third parties.

4. Permissions The application requires only one permission to function:

  • File System Access: This is used strictly to save your notes to your local hard drive so they don't disappear when you close the app.

5. Contact Us If you have any questions about this policy or the application, please contact the developer at:studioratama[at]gmail
